What is the BIIAB  Level 2 National Certificate for Licensee's (Drugs Awareness)?

The BIIAB  Level 2 National Certificate for Licensees (Drugs Awareness) is designed to give premises licence holders and managers a basic knowledge and understanding of the law pertaining to the misuse and supply of controlled drugs on licensed premises.

Who is the qualification for?

This qualification is designed for premises licence holders and managers of licensed premises in England and Wales to give them operational guidelines to help them deal effectively with and prevent any drug related problems in their premises.

What are the benefits of obtaining this qualification?

The course gives a basic knowledge of the law pertaining to the misuse and supply of controlled drugs on licensed premises. It provides guidelines to help deal with any drug related problems on the premises and on the development of strategies to prevent such problems arising. Upon successful completion, a nationally recognised certificate awarded by BIIAB  stating that the candidate has successfully achieved the BIIAB  Level 2 National Certificate for Licensees (Drugs Awareness) is awarded.

How long is the training course, where can I take it, and how much will it cost?

This one day course and multiple-choice assessment costs £120.00 plus VAT (£138.00) per candidate which includes examination fee, handbook, certificate (upon successful completion of examination), lunch and refreshments.

(Please note other centres may quote lower fees but may not include lunch or the course handbook)
