Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure
As part of your application for a Personal Licence you are required to submit a criminal conviction certificate or a criminal record certificate. Kurnia are registered with the Criminal Records Bureau to make applications for CRB Disclosures which are accepted as part of the application for a Personal Licence.
In order to ensure that CRB applications are made correctly and CRB Disclosure Certificates are issued without delay we have adopted the following procedure in order that your CRB Disclosure Certificate is returned to you as soon as possible (normally 7-21 days after the CRB Application from has been submitted.
Download the Applications Details Form
Complete the form and send it to Kurnia with the following:
Payment of £58.75 (£50.00 plus vat) Cheques payable to Kurnia
3 or 5 original documents as per page 3 of the Applications Details form (Try and submit documents from Group 1 on the list. We have found that applications with the bulk of documents from Group 1 are generally being returned faster)
Upon receipt of the Applications Details form, payment and your identity documents we shall complete the CRB Disclosure application form and return the form to you for signing along with your documents and vat receipt. We shall also send a prepaid envelope for you to send the Disclosure application directly to the CRB in Liverpool. Approximately 7-21 days after you have posted the application to Liverpool your CRB Disclosure Certificate should be delivered to your current home address.
Please note that a CRB Disclosure that is submitted with an application for a Personal Licence cannot be more than 1 month old. As you also are required to send your accredited qualification certificate we would advise not applying for a CRB Disclosure until you have confirmation of passing the qualification. If you have not yet passed the BIIAB NCPLH qualification or other accredited qualification then please advise us. In cases where a qualification has not been attained we normally get the application ready for processing, ie have the applicant sign the application form and have the identity documents checked, and process the application as soon as the applicant advises that they have attained a qualification.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to advise Kurnia not to process and when to process a CRB Disclosure application. Unless advised Kurnia will process CRB Disclosure applications upon receipt of the signed application form and identity documents
